A native Washingtonian, Donna has helped buyers and sellers meet their real estate goals since 1993. While she specializes in the luxury market, Donna has sold homes in all price ranges with the same attention to detail.
Donna attributes her success to hard work and experience she has gained from businesses before real estate. In 1974, she began a successful career as a fashion model, working in Paris, NYC, and DC. From 1988 to 1993 she owned and operated a 140-seat French restaurant in Georgetown. Overseeing employees, food quality and control, and heading the marketing team greatly broadened her skillset. Between the two careers, Donna had the pleasure of meeting designers, dignitaries, celebrities, and politicians.
Donna attended GWU at Mt. Vernon College where she studied Interior Design and Marketing. Interior Design has proven to be valuable when preparing a house for the market. Understanding what the design trends are and what buyers expect is of the utmost importance.
As a 32-year resident of McLean, Virginia, Donna raised two children who attended Fairfax County Public Schools, and she continues to be active in the community. In her spare time, Donna enjoys being involved with different charities, cooking, gardening and yoga.
Donna is licensed in the District of Columbia and Virginia.
I've worked with Donna in both buying and selling my homes for the past twenty years, and I'll continue to do so for her professionalism, attention to detail, and eye for design. Her current knowledge of trends and extensive experience in real estate give her an edge we never found in other realtors. Donna always goes above and beyond our expectations to provide resources for staging and otherwise preparing our home for the market, which has made an incredible difference in appraisal as well as length of time on the market. Her practicality enabled us to move away from the emotional aspects of selling our home to focus on pragmatic planning, and we can always count on her for honest, reliable feedback.
Working with Donna gave us peace of mind, which we didn't expect during the stressful process of selling our home. The ability of a real estate agent to expand our network and provide useful connections while on the market is, I realize now, one of the most important things to consider while hiring, and Donna gave us these powerful tools and more. Truly useful is her background in design, which guided her while preparing our unique house for the market, and also in making the best marketing decisions for our property. Because of this, our house sold in only one week. When we hired Donna again, she was able to sell our townhouse for $50,000 more than we expected. Needless to say, Donna and TTR Sotheby's have our complete trust as long as we're buying and selling homes.
Donna continues to have my back throughout the process of both buying and selling my homes for over 20 years. Her professional integrity and communication has been exceptional! Her "on trend" artistic eye, attention to detail, and resources she provided, allowed for the best preparation and staging possible, attaining a sales price above market value for my home and in record time. I will continue to count on her for my real estate needs and have the utmost confidence in referring her to my friends and family.
Donna Martin has supported my wife and I buying and selling several properties in the last twenty years. We have found her extremely knowledgeable of the market, architectural trends, styles and understanding what would work well for us. Moreover, she ably navigated an extremely dynamic market and provided very sound investment perspectives, taking the stress out of the process. In our latest transaction, she found the perfect home for us, thanks to her proactive diligence and understanding of what was important to us. Unbeatable!
