Originally called Iowa Circle, the community was renamed by Congress in 1930 to honor Civil War hero John Logan. The neighborhood was gradually redeveloped in the 1970s, starting with the restoration of the area’s original brownstones, and continuing on to the construction of luxury mixed use developments.
